Preface

State of the Art Reports, or STARs in short, are survey papers that cover hot topics of current computer graphics research. These proceedings contain the STARs presented at the Eurographics 2007 conference held in Prague, Czech Republic, between 3rd and 7th of September 2007.

This year we have received twenty high quality submissions which covered many different areas of computer graphics. The submissions were evaluated in a full review process with a help of 58 international reviewers. It was a tough task to select only six STARs which could be accepted for presentation at the Eurographics conference. The accepted STARs cover broad selection of topics: shape representation, mesh processing, animation, rendering, imaging, and visualization. We hope that these topics will find their audience at the conference and the STARs will find their readers even long after the conference.

We thank all authors who submitted their STAR proposals. We also want to thank all reviewers for their great support in the review process.
