5.2 Styrker og svakheter ved metoden
O desenvolvimento deste trabalho permitiu a identificação de possíveis estudos futuros. Em primeiro lugar, pode-se propor a análise da estrutura de citação e co- citação de trabalhos, de forma a identificar os artigos mais influentes e reconhecer a contribuição dos seus atores para a produção científica em Gestão de Serviços. Além disso, parece interessante analisar a colaboração entre pesquisadores por meio de indicadores informais de relacionamento, pois a co-autoria é o indicador mais formal que existe.
Outro recorte possível é a identificação das motivações acerca da colaboração entre os autores e assim, uma abordagem qualitativa poderia ser usada, por exemplo, com os autores identificados como mais centrais ou mais prolíficos. Uma abordagem interessante é a utilização da análise de conteúdo dos artigos, para a identificação de sub-temas de serviços.
Não foi possível encontrar semelhante estudo com o tema no Brasil, o que poderia ser importante para a análise da produção do tema neste país, possibilitando inclusive que ela seja comparada com a produção internacional.
Por fim, e com relação a outros temas, recomenda-se a aplicação da análise de redes e dos objetivos propostos neste trabalho para outros temas reconhecidos como relevantes para a comunidade científica.
