5.2. METHODS

5.2.1. STUDY AREA AND SURVEY METHODS

É importante estar ciente das limitações ao realizar investigações. Este estudo focou hotéis de categoria 5 estrelas (de acordo com o filtro do Booking.com) cujo serviço e atributos são notoriamente reconhecidos por serem mais abrangentes e com uma qualidade superior. Futuros estudos poderão considerar hotéis de outras categorias e fazer comparações entre eles. Por outro lado, a amostra selecionada diz respeito a 20 propriedades de Lisboa e remete aos comentários publicados entre julho e agosto de 2017, na plataforma Booking.com. Futuros estudos poderão considerar outras plataformas, períodos de tempo

53 mais longos e outras localizações para além da capital portuguesa. A investigação foi condicionada pelas nacionalidades presentes na amostra, com um peso elevado de franceses (25,9%), brasileiros (16,3%) e espanhóis (14,4%). Apesar de poucos estudos analisarem diferenças entre as nacionalidades focadas e esse ser um claro contributo deste estudo, no futuro seria interessante que a análise da tipologia de ORs abrangesse um número mais vasto de nacionalidades, nomeadamente orientais. Este estudo comparou turistas de diferentes nacionalidades com base nas dimensões culturais de Hofstede, mas futuras investigações poderão aplicar outras abordagens. Finalmente, estudos que comparem as ORs quanto à sua valência, por tipo e por dimensão cultural, poderão contribuir para enriquecer estes resultados.
