• Foram identificadas atividades exo e endoglicosidásicas no extrato cru do molusco Pomacea sp,
• Foi identificada uma enzima com atividade específica para o p-nitrofenil-β- glucuronídeo,
• A enzima foi purificada 6.362,5 vezes, ratificada pelo CLAE, com rendimento de 35,6%,
• A β-glucuronidase purificada neste trabalho apresenta massa molecular de 100 kDa, determinada por eletroforese em gel de poliacrilamida em SDS,
• A determinação dos parâmetros cinéticos ideais para a catálise do p-nitrofenil-ß- glucuronídeo pela β-glucuronidase, apresentou atividade ótima em pH 5,0 e temperatura 65ºC por 4 horas.
• São necessárias para a degradação total de 3mM de p-N-β-glucoronídeo, a quantidade de 1,2µg de β-glucuronidase com um Km aparente de 72 x 10-2 mM • O BaCl2 aumentou a atividade da β-glucuronidase, e a atividade foi inibida
