4.3 Definisjon av kunstverk i andre lover

O óleo essencial de V. gardneriana, um arbusto encontrado no Nordeste brasileiro, teve sua atividade anti-Candida avaliada pela primeira vez. O óleo essencial de V. gardneriana foi considerado um promissor agente antifúngico devido sua habilidade de afetar o crescimento planctônico e os biofilmes de C. albicans e C. tropicalis. Os resultados indicam que o óleo essencial em estudo pode ser usado para prevenção da formação de biofilme e para desestabilizar biofilmes pré-formados de duas espécies de Candida, as quais estão etiologicamente relacionadas a infecções. Contudo, novos estudos devem ser realizados para elucidar o mecanismo de ação do óleo essencial e identificar os possíveis compostos responsáveis pela sua ação, assegurando o potencial biotecnológico do óleo de V. gardneriana contra infecções causadas por Candida.
