2.3 Two point flux approximation scheme

Em conclusão, esse estudo fornece evidências de que modelo experimental de

hipertensão com ratos tratados com alto teor de frutose associado à sobrecarga de sal na

dieta exibe RI/hiperinsulinemia resultando em retenção de sal. Isso foi consistente com dados

da literatura que discutem o papel chave da insulina na regulação do metabolismo do sódio e

na pressão sanguínea. Coletivamente os dados também indicam aumento do estresse

oxidativo na desordem metabólica encontrada em combinação à elevação da PA, enquanto

tempol administrado cronicamente exerce efeito antihipertensivo, demonstrando, assim,

participação crucial de radicais O2•− na patogênese do estresse oxidativo com alteração dos

valores pressóricos nos animais do estudo. O modelo usado recapitula muitos dos efeitos

bioquímicos e fisiológicos que marcam tendências dietéticas atuais. A implicação é que a

exposição contínua a esses refinados, dietas de baixa qualidade, tem o potencial de resultar

em efeitos adversos para a saúde que podem, em parte, explicar o aumento exponencial dos

fatores de risco para as DCVs. Os resultados também denotam a importância de uma dieta

nutricionalmente equilibrada e confirmam a associação do estresse oxidativo nos vários

fatores envolvidos no desenvolvimento da RI com a presença de hipertensão. Assim, o estudo

oferece um paradigma nutricional em que aspectos estudados podem ser úteis e

cuidadosamente explorados para iniciativas de reduzirem tanto a quantidade de sal quanto

de frutose (provinda de sacarose ou de bebidas adoçadas com HFCS) como atualmente está

sendo vastamente consumida. Uma compreensão mais completa de como essa dieta

empregada afeta os mecanismos que causam insulto cardiovascular pode auxiliar na

prevenção de doenças com novas estratégias terapêuticas para combaterem a progressão

dessas condições.
