5.4 Hva slags inntrykk gir teksten av samlivet som fenomen?
Apesar das contribuições teóricas e gerenciais, esta pesquisa tem limitações. A partir da ótica dos frigoríficos e stakeholders, o estudo se limitou a analisar a gestão de risco reputacional em CS, considerando transações entre frigoríficos e pecuaristas fornecedores diretos. Sendo assim, novas pesquisa mais a jusante, com varejistas, e a montante da CS, com pecuaristas, podem trazer outras contribuições. Os fatores de risco reputacional se restringiram a aspectos sociais e ambientais. Outros fatores podem ser também explorados. Isso foi afirmado pelos stakeholders que destacaram fatores sanitários, éticos de combate à corrupção e políticos que se sobrepõem aos socioambientais em algumas situações atuais nesse setor.
O sistema de avaliação dos fornecedores pode ser mais bem estudado. As empresas que prestam serviço aos frigoríficos na verificação de fornecedores não foram entrevistadas. Isso restringiu o entendimento do modus operandi de avaliação dos fornecedores. O acesso restrito à funcionalidade do sistema usado pelas consultorias pode ter limitado as análises, e a mesma falta de acesso aos resultados das auditorias de três casos pode resultar em restrições no entendimento do sistema de avaliação. Estudos futuros sobre métodos de avaliação de fatores socioambientais em fornecedores agropecuários podem ser aprofundados por meio de entrevistas às empresas de consultoria que assistem aos frigoríficos associado a revisão dos relatórios de auditoria.
Esta pesquisa se limitou a verificar como os frigoríficos mitigam em seus fornecedores pecuários riscos reputacionais relacionados de alguma foram a sustentabilidade. Não foram analisadas práticas gerenciais de gestão de cadeias de suprimentos para o desenvolvimento de produtos sustentáveis. O estudo dos desafios, barreiras e formas de gerenciar cadeias da carne bovina brasileira para torna-las mais sustentáveis pode resultar em importantes contribuições teóricas e gerenciais.
Baseado na teoria da ECT, estudar o custo de transação da falta de um sistema de rastreabilidade nacional vinculado a dados de infratores pode ser uma importante contribuição teórica e empírica. Atualmente, o controle do risco reputacional representa um custo aos frigoríficos que pode estar impactando todo o setor de carne cuja matéria-prima é original da
Amazônia. A implantação de rastreabilidade bovina poderia melhorar a percepção de sustentabilidade da carne bovina brasileira e reduzir esse custo, além de aumentar a segurança do alimento por um rastreamento mais rigoroso do rebanho.
