O objetivo desta pesquisa foi identificar os fatores que influenciam a adoção da CN pelas empresas privadas estabelecidas no Brasil, para tanto foi proposto um modelo de pesquisa com base na teoria da difusão (DOI) sobre os atributos percebidos de inovação e inclusão dos benefícios e riscos percebidos no modelo.
Os fatores identificados que influenciam a adoção da CN pelas empresas foram: os cinco
atributos percebidos de inovação da teoria da difusão da inovação (Vantagem relativa, Compatibilidade, Complexidade, Observação e Testagem), Benefícios percebidos e Riscos
percebidos.
Quanto aos atributos percebidos de inovação a pesquisa identificou que os fatores Observação e Testagem contribuem para explicar a adoção da CN, indo de encontro com alguns estudos na área de adoção da CN que não consideraram em seus modelos de pesquisa estes dois fatores.
Os fatores Vantagem relativa, Compatibilidade, Observação e Testagem estão positivamente associados à adoção da CN, entretanto, o fator Complexidade está associado negativamente à adoção da CN.
O fator Benefícios percebidos contribui para explicar a adoção da CN e está positivamente associado à adoção, quanto maior for o benefício maior a disposição para adotar a CN. Além disso, os seguintes indicadores de Benefícios percebidos tiveram significância estatística: “Redução de Custo”, “Flexibilidade”, “Acessibilidade e Mobilidade”, “Permite que os colaboradores foquem mais nos negócios e estratégias da empresa” e “As Características da CN permitem que a empresa desenvolva novos modelos de negócio”.
Os inibidores na adoção da CN vão além da complexidade abordada na DOI e a pesquisa identificou que Riscos percebidos é um dos fatores de maior efeito na adoção da CN. Conhecendo esses inibidores tanto as empresas quanto os provedores de CN podem tomar decisões de forma a mitigar ou evitar estes riscos de tal forma que aumente a adoção, haja
vista que o fator Riscos percebidos é associado negativamente à adoção da CN. Quanto maior o risco menor a adoção e vice-versa.
No fator Riscos percebidos os seguintes indicadores tiveram significância estatística: Dependência do Provedor, Segurança da Informação, Legislação e Regulamentação, Privacidade e/ou Confidencialidade e Redução dos Níveis de Serviços.
A pesquisa contribuiu para ampliar os estudos acadêmicos sobre o mercado brasileiro com relação a adoção de novas tecnologias, neste caso específico CN, propondo um modelo que inclui Benefícios e Riscos percebidos além dos atributos percebidos de inovação da DOI. Destaque para a inclusão de atributos como observação e testagem possuem significância na adoção da CN.
As empresas e provedores da CN podem tomar ações direcionadas sobre os fatores que influenciam a adoção da CN de forma a acelerar a adoção, principalmente, sobre o fator Riscos percebidos que tem o maior efeito sobre a adoção.
Estudos Futuros
Realizar um estudo longitudinal se os fatores que influenciam a adoção da CN variam com o desenvolvimento da CN ou mesmo com a maturidade da empresa e do mercado. Além disso, para estudos futuros poderiam ser identificados os fatores que influenciam as empresas que não adotaram a CN (intenção de adoção) e confrontados com as que adotaram.
Outro estudo teria como objeto de estudo as empresas governamentais e verificar se há alterações nos fatores que influenciam o setor público versus o privado devido, por exemplo, a diferença cultural (HASTY; SCHECHTMAN; KILLALY, 2012).
Analisar os fatores da adoção da CN no Brasil versus outro país e identificar possíveis diferenças e similaridades incluindo a diversidade cultural, socioeconômica e política.
Limitações do Estudo
A limitação da pesquisa pode ser considerada devido a contar com uma amostra por conveniência, restringindo a generalização. Contudo, o procedimento metodológico foi aplicado seguindo as etapas indicadas para este tipo de pesquisa desde o pré-teste, tratamento dos dados, avaliação do modelo de mensuração e do modelo estrutural.
