1. SAFETY

 General laboratory safety applies.

 Users must read and sign the Safety instructions for lab work at UNIS, including the following risk assessment. If the risk assessment is not complete, please report to lab leader or the person responsible for the lab.

 Users must have had the necessary training before starting lab work.

 Lab and scientific employees will lead the training of new employees/students including risk assessment for working alone at the lab.

 Users must fill out the HSE documentations for lab work and do an agreement about using working alone alarm.

 Users must read and understand safety datasheets for all chemical and solvents used, know how to use the fumehood, and familiarize themselves with the waste handling procedures at UNIS.

2. RESPONSIBILITIES

Lab leader at UNIS is responsible for making sure that people are using this procedure are qualified and have been through the necessary safety training. The users are responsible for following this SOP.
