1 Introduction and Objectives
3.1 Principle of pendant drop method
Tendo em vista os resultados obtidos nesse trabalho, foi possível constatar que a microinjeção dos dois ligantes serotonérgicos empregados geraram resultados diferentes no LCE. O dolasetron, antagonista do receptor 5-HT3, quando microinjetado na SCPD, nas doses de 100ng, 500ng e 1000ng, não alterou os comportamentos relativos à ansiedade de ratos avaliados no LCE e CA e esta ação não foi influenciada por alterações na locomoção do animal. Já a microinjeção do mCPBG (agonista do receptor 5-HT3) na SCPD, nas doses de 5µg e de 10µg, reduziu os comportamentos relacionados à ansiedade no LCE sem promover alteração na atividade locomotora. Portanto, os resultados obtidos nesse estudo sugerem que a ativação dos receptores 5-HT3, presentes na SCPD, modulam um efeito ansiolítico no LCE.
