O tema Escritórios de Projetos ainda é pouco pesquisado, principalmente quando se trata de implantação em aeroportos e na administração pública. Dessa forma, uma pesquisa-ação visando à implantação de um Escritório de Projetos Aeroportuários, na administração aeroportuária, identifica: os benefícios obtidos com essa implantação; a análise dos resultados de melhoria da gestão aeroportuária proporcionados pela implantação do EPA; a avaliação da maturidade da organização em gerenciamento de projetos pós-implantação do EPA; e o mapeamento a evolução do EPA dentro da organização.
Considerando a viabilidade de implantação de Escritório de Projetos na administração aeroportuária, é pertinente ainda recomendar, para futuras pesquisas, a implantação de Escritório de Gerenciamento de Projetos em outros setores da administração pública, tais como: saúde, educação, segurança pública, agricultura, infraestrutura urbana, entre outros.
