O presente estudo apresenta algumas limitações de pesquisa que devem ser tidas em consideração. Foi realizado um número pequeno de entrevistas devendo-se à grande dificuldade em contactar vítimas de violência doméstica.
Além disso, ainda é mais complexo ter conhecimento de alguém que tenha sofrido de violência doméstica e que se sinta confortável para partilhar a experiência com outra pessoa. Aliás, outra limitação é a dificuldade que os participantes têm em aceitarem participar em estudos de investigação, já que era necessário entrar em contacto direto com o investigador. Apesar de estar garantida a confidencialidade dos dados, a falta de confiança dos participantes dificulta a entrevista e condiciona as respostas. De facto, isto só foi possível através da APAV, uma vez que, dificilmente alguém se voluntariaria a participar neste estudo sem estarem envolvidos com uma associação.
Uma outra limitação está relacionada com as características dos participantes deste estudo. Apesar de ter sido encontrada a saturação de dados e de as respostas serem
96 semelhantes, talvez uma amostra com mais participantes do sexo masculino e de outras regiões revelassem perceções diferentes.
Com base na conclusão e nas limitações do estudo, fazem-se agora referências a possíveis pontos de investigação futura. Uma vez que foi analisada e comparada a perceção dos participantes com a da equipa de Comunicação e Marketing, seria importante analisar campanhas de comunicação específicas e comparar os objetivos desejados da APAV com a perspetiva das vítimas. Além disso, seria importante analisar a perceção de pessoas comuns que não pertençam a nenhum grupo socialmente fragilizado.
Entretanto, revela-se ainda necessário estudar a evolução da relação entre a APAV e entidades como a PSP, GNR, Segurança Social, entre outros, de modo a que se possa compreender se estas entidades estão sensibilizados para esta causa e para reencaminhar, cada vez mais, qualquer vítima de que tenham conhecimento.
Com base no que os participantes referiram, recordo que seria essencial uma investigação com foco na sensibilização e educação, principalmente das crianças e jovens para prevenir estas situações. A associação, as escolas, os encarregados de educação e os próprios alunos deveriam ser ouvidas para compreender se estariam dispostos a implementar este sistema.
Por último, refiro que seria essencial uma análise mais profunda à relação que as vítimas do sexo masculino possuem com as entidades a quem se deve recorrer. Esta investigação teria como objetivo a abertura de mentalidades em relação a este tema e uma melhor compreensão sobre a dificuldade acrescida que estes membros da sociedade têm em procurar auxílio.
