4.4 Impenetrability
As limitações apontadas a este estudo, relacionam-se com a dimensão reduzida da amostra, impedindo a generalização dos resultados à população geral de idosos, o que limita também a interpretação de dados.
Na realização da entrevista poderão ter existido também algumas limitações relacionadas com a possibilidade de incongruências entre o que o entrevistado diz e o que realmente faz, sendo que as respostas dadas pelo entrevistado podem depender do seu interesse.
De referir também que grande parte dos participantes demonstraram dificuldades em responder às questões, uma vez que são sujeitos com alguma idade e pouco diferenciados.
Teria sido também benéfico para o estudo a realização da entrevista a todos os participantes da amostra para um melhor entendimento dos resultados e maior valorização na realização da análise temática.
Os instrumentos utilizados poderão não ter sido os mais adequados uma vez que não são específicos para a população idosa.
Seria relevante no futuro, explorar o papel dos funcionários das instituições no processo de adesão e suas implicações em termos da saúde do indivíduo, bem como utilizar instrumentos de medida específicos para a população idosa relativos à adesão.
