Os marcadores microssatélites desenvolvidos serão utilizados para estudar a estrutura de acasalamento, o sistema reprodutivo e o fluxo gênico em uma população de T. aurea. O estudo será realizado na população da Estação Ecológica de Águas Emendadas (Planaltina, DF) e pretende-se gerar informações para a conservação e manejo dessa espécie, gerando também informações para a conservação de outras espécies do Cerrado.
