Quanto a futuros trabalhos de investigação, gostaríamos certamente de avaliar com maior rigor os resultados que as recentes medidas adoptadas em 2007 (Lei nº 4/2007, de 16 de Janeiro) pelo Governo português trouxeram ao nível da fertilidade.

Por outro lado, seria interessante analisar a situação do nosso país por distritos e ver como se comporta a fertilidade e quais as medidas que estão a ser tomadas, a nível local, tendo em conta a importância desta variável (taxa de fertilidade) na economia do país.
