Tyresta Forest Foundation is the manager of Tyresta national park and nature reserve.

The foundation was formed in 1993 when parts of the area became a national park and several landowners and stakeholders should agree.

The Environmental Protection Agency, the County Administrative Board of Stockholm, the City of Stockholm and the municipalities of Haninge and Tyresö allocated funds that would cover the administrative costs in the future.

The area is managed by an office headed by a board consisting of the above institutors.
