Course description

Course content

• Background information about Tanzania.

Introduction into policy and research approaches to climate change in the country. Visits to crucial

institutions and talks given by aid/development experts and to researchers involved in the- andprogrammes.

• Agriculture and climate change adaptation and

mitigation. Case study of a research based project.

• Mitigating climate change in coastal zone

management in a changing climate. Case study of a research based project and stay with small-holder farmers in Zanzibar.
