SACCADE accomplishments 2014-2016

At UiO

• 10 Ethiopian Staff UiO PhDs (sandwich) have spent 6 months at UiO

– Of the 12 PhDs (6 women)

• 9 (5 female) Ethiopian staff JU Mphil students have had an elective semester at UiO

• Two JU methods courses have been assessed for quality and approved for credit transfer to UiO for PhD and Mphil programs

At Jimma

388 staff participated in different workshops and courses

• Established the first Ethiopian Master of Philosophy (Mphil)

Curriculum facilitates one semester abroad

• Developing a PhD program after UiO model

• Training and TOT in Research Ethics and in IRB work

• 16 UiO faculty members taught at JU

7 female associate/full professors

• Undertaken a Situation analyses of the JU administration
