This project is continuation and extension of the previous one:

Plant Health And Genetic Resources in South East Europe (2006-2009)

Which was part of SEE-project Program:

Institutional collaboration between academic

institutions in Agriculture, Forestry and Veterinary

Medicine in Norway and Bosnia & Herzegovina,

Croatia and Serbia & Montenegro.

• Establishing new vegetative collection of grapevine

• Establishing vegetative collection of fruits (cherry, vineyard peach, pomegranate, fig)

• Ampelographic evaluation of collected grape varieties (OIV descriptors and special software)

• Genotypization of vine grape with SSR markers

Expected results

A laboratory for detection of viruses and diseases in

strawberries and grapevine by using ELISA and PCR methods.

Immediate goals:

Develop rapid, safe, sensitive and standardized methods for detection of the major viruses and diseases infecting

strawberries and grapevine for certification and quarantine services in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
